kopitar has been limited as this thing has gone on and that has affected gaborik, though they have great numbers from the first half of the playoffs. carter has come on, but i don't see him clearly ahead of the pack. doughty is really the team's engine and would deserve it in the purest "most valuable" sense. same argument could be made for quick maybe but neither will get it, i don't think. i say williams because he has the numbers, he came up big in the biggest games and it's kind of a lifetime achievement award for being a bad ass in the playoffs.
