The guy guarding the inbounds passer would step over the line and it would be called a delay of game...this would allow the defense to see what set the offense was running (this sequence became a tactical battle into of itself because you had coaches either giving a decoy play first and then then the real play or calling another timeout). I always wondered why we don't see it anymore, and it really would have helped Houston today. Was it legislated out of the NBA?
