Yes, they were rotation guys (really only Patterson and Aldrich, as Douglas was getting no tick post-Beverley), but Houston has tons of youth, and T-Rob didn't come close to showing his potential in Sacramento. This puts him in a much more positive environment where he can flourish. And Patterson's contract was expiring anyway, if I'm not mistaken-- I'd doubt they'd resign him if they're making a play for big names (Dwight).

It's good for Sacramento for the Patterson-Cousins connection obviously, as they clearly REFUSE to give up on him, lol. Which probably isn't a bad idea due to his talent level... if they can get his head right, he's money.

But to give up on a fifth pick so quickly... if he starts coming around, Houston can get some good years out of him for rookie dollars. That's insane.
