But yeah, there's a huge difference between being a rebuilding team who mortgaged their next three first-rounders to get a guy who they hope to build around for the next decade or so rather then a contender who simply plugged in their second-rounder.

SF threw in Baby Deer midseason after Smith got hurt as a jolt to give them an extra look that they weren't getting to what was already a solid offense with a Super Bowl caliber roster.

They also don't use the option as their base to the same degree, have less designed runs, the QB has taken far less hits plus not getting hurt doing it & they average about five more passes a game since they made the move for real with the Chicago game in midseason.

Him galloping to a QB rushing record over the weekend was more about finding a glitch in Green Bay's already-shitty defense to create an almost comedic evisceration of that unit by the end of the game.

I see where you're going with trying to draw a direct parallel, good effort but it's not really there.
