even if they win this season, the bottom line is that a black coach got fired in a way white coaches do not get fired. so as a fan, you can be all happy with a title or whatever, but know that this firing was a classic case where a white man gets a longer leash than a black man.

basically, it doesn't matter if Brown was good or bad--because even blatantly bad white coaches get more time than brown did.
