Am I having fun yet?

And do I really care that I'm not a millionaire?

How far can my dreams stream before a lightning beam sparks & burns them up?

Is it already 2010? And exactly when will the wind blow change thru a range of tunnel visions?

I fear whirlwind collisions will penetrate my "gate of wait" at a rate of return equal to a peripheral point of view -- XX ((times two)) XX.

I see myself moving forward through smokescreens & pipe dreams / huffing & puffing uphill against my will.

It's not that I don't have stamina to climb, but I'm inclined to whine when I can't find a good pace consistent with this rat race.

Never~the~less, time flies as life buys blueprinted brilliance in the guise of resilience ... more bounce to the ounce.

So I pounce on opportunities like a purring panther ... a smooth romancer ... serenading destiny with sultry songs of self-reliance.

My defiance is never met with regret cuz I can't forget that time waits for no one ... yet I must remember before December to groom my weathered wings -- so I can hover above hourglasses and get airborne again!

This is my favorite thing I've read from you in quite a while...there is a layer of bulk removed and it acknowledges the vulnerability of the individual immersed in the universe...kind of childlike rather than didactic, which I much prefer..

Time does indeed fly.... but isn't it so much fun...:P

capturing time in moments like this can be fearful yet in another light liberating to the point of true freedom from the reality some things have passed forever never to be captured again yet all that matters is now

this was perfectly written. i usually am not a fan of rhyming but i like it when it's done like this. it's almost like, it just fell that way.not like it was done on purpose.

That line was nICE.

I liked this more than most of your pieces... on one hand it seemed to lack the polish most of your work has, it didn't have that surrealistic dream sequence kinda feel, but I think thats why I liked it. It was still irrepressibly you, but almost like with a little more attitude.

I thought the language was superb and this ended very well. Life's reminders are scattered throughout this entire prose...
