i created a new game/exercise last week that has really got my juices going. you'll need a friend/partner for this, but their job is so minimal and painless it shouldn't be hard to find someone.
:
1.ask them to give you a word, any word.
2.write a list of 5, 10, 16, 20 (however many you like) words or short phrases that rhyme with the word they gave you
3.ask them for a topic. you can specifically request out-of-the-ordinary if you're afraid they'll just give you "real love" or "thug shit"
4.using every word in that list, weave the given topic into those rhymes you created. you came up with the rhymes before knowing the topic, which automatically causes your noggin to discover more unique and uniquely-you angles.
