Can’t seem to forget
The Poet
Who spoke words
Of endearment to the still suffering.
Who gave me something I never had before.
So I thought!
His rhythm seems to suppress my thoughts,
Feelings
And desires in myself
That I’ve become
And remain unconscious.
Only to turn and
Wake to the side where He once slept.
How can I feel
when all I feel
Is Love
For real.
I pray for the Self Love.
Self Assurance
Self Esteem
All these things I couldn’t give myself.
Now I pray for deliverance
From captivity of my own mine.
To turn fantasy to reality
To free myself from what if, if only conscience.
To be able to Fly
To Soar
And Sail
One day on my own shirt tail.
