that word that causes white folk to shudder
and old black men to grab their dollars
and their crotch at the same time
and old black women to pout their lips, and hope no one
puts two and two together

a freak
of nature
in my own time
got my own mind

don't be mad at me
for who I am
be mad at what I say
or do
but not for what it is
inherently
a brother is into himself
and how that dude ticks
and how the ticking affects others

..i wanna know more...
about this side of myself..
i love the way I feel when I turn on
when I see wide eyes
or a tongue slightly at hang
from the side of a mouth
or sweat drippings where no heat was before me..
