746403, Bones and All (Luca Guadagnino, 2022)

This is Luca's best movie and one of the best of the year. And Timothée Chalamet is a producer on this.

As far as the gruesomeness of the movie you've made of heard of, if you can make it past the inciting incident then you can make it through the film.

Such a tender, romantic love story wrapped up in a horror movie and a fairy tale. It really is moving and terrifying. Sometimes both at once.

Some great world building here.

Go in as blind as possible. Avoid the trailers.

Trent and Atticus did the score. Their sound is evolving. Most of it didn't sound like them. Some of their trademarks do make it in here.

Saw it in a Dolby screening room with Laser projection and Atmos sound with 88 speakers surrounding me. Wish this was getting a Dolby Cinema release as the sound design is crazy.
746406, he's probably my favorite director

746645, Fantastic. Agreed that it's one of the year's best.

Wrote at length about it here: https://letterboxd.com/russellhfilm/film/bones-and-all/. No reason why "young adult cannibal Badlands" should work this well, but Guadagnino just has my full trust at this point.
746649, *daps*
