742311, Midnight Mass (Netflix) Posted by Voodoochilde, Thu Oct-14-21 07:41 AM
this "Midnight Mass" is by the guy (Mike Flanagan) who did "the Haunting of Hill House" which i thought was very very well done...
this new one ends up being as good or better*...
(go in blind, DONT read up on it before watching)
*its 7 eps. we ALMOST stopped watching after the first two, but we gave it a chance and ultimately were glad that we did.
i definitely have some issues with certain choices that i want to talk about, but i wont specify just yet (to minimize 'spoilage') but maybe will bring up later if anyone else watches and chimes in.
have you listened to her stuff? v

742313, Mike Flanagan is amassing a very good catalogue Posted by Sofian_Hadi, Thu Oct-14-21 08:27 AM
I keep expecting him to make a dud but he has a consistently good resume. Dude even made a QUIJI sequel that is one of the best horror films of the last ten years. I'll watch his work off the name alone.

742314, Interesting take on a well worn road. Posted by spades, Thu Oct-14-21 10:20 AM
Always interesting to see a ___________ movie set in a universe where the concept itself doesn't seem to exist.
Feels like a bit a of a cop out to me, tbh.
