not usually a fan of these types of movies, as the talking head deification gets old. this one runs maybe 20 minutes too long but loved seeing the good, the bad and the human side.

for me, who grew up catching Cook's Tour episodes at ungodly hours on the Food Network and thought I was living the juvenile Kitchen Confidential life as a deli line cook in high school, seeing a lot of this footage was fascinating -- how he "became" Anthony Bourdain, while also shedding the life he had previously known (had never seen his first wife before).
