When people were surprised at him playing Irish, I was like 'man, Al Pacino he played a Puerto Rican'
In a lot of ways it's Sean Penn's movie.
I dunno if I can put it in Pacino's top 5 in terms of films or performances though. Tough call.

Def in my top 5 of Pacino movies, and top 25 of favorite movies overall.
Of his performances, not sure where it ranks. Whenever Al speaks spanish in this movie it's pretty awful lol.

You can’t read about it in school, and you can’t get a late start.
One of my favorite Pacino lines. Shit felt ominous af because by this point I was a gangster movie connoisseur and that line was fucking facts.
