The Godfather, Part II and The Conversation are amazing enough, but the fact he wrote Patton and directed Apocalypse Now to bookend the decade is just...unfathomable.

saw it probably a decade ago. i feel like a lot of movies since have tried to pull off an equally clever twist but can't quite stick the landing.
