738028, Narcos Mexico Season 2...
Posted by Creole, Tue Feb-18-20 10:28 AM
Dropped a few days ago.
I binged over the weekend.
I'll probably watch it again to catch things that I may have dozed off on. It wasn't that it was boring. I was just tired.

Felix Gallardo was a bad man. He was just too full of himself. And it plays out over and over and over.

What y'all thinking about it?
738038, Felix was on that Stringer Bell

Kind of presented as a somewhat sympathetic thinking man, but in some ways a bigger dirtbag than everyone. Often the smartest guy in the room, always forward thinking, but no street code whatsoever will sell his friends out, dime you out to the feds to get a leg up. That last thing he did.. jesus

But he was definitely right that for all his faults, what came after him was far worse
738040, slow walking it. migos...eh

738046, That felt so out of place having him there

Like they didn't even look like L.A. dope boys in the 80's.

didn't have any effect on the season for me but distracting at the time for sure
739106, this was very disorienting

I was trying to figure out if people were using the term 'bad bitch' in LA in the 80's
738043, I gave up and skimmed the second half

I found it beautifully shot but dreadfully dull

738057, And that's why them bammas battled for years and continue to...

I did some reading after finishing the season last week. Realized that this Narcos franchise could go on damned forever.

All of the different cartels eventually battled each other. Then, the battled within their own cartel due to splintering. Shit's crazy.

738058, yup!

Looking forward to see what they do with Sinaloa vs TJ, then Sinaloa vs los Zetas, etc.. they really can go on until present day
738066, I still remember the first season of narcos

every time something seemed TOO OUTLANDISH and like they must've made it up for the show not only was it real but there was real footage of it happening

739107, this season started out really strong but when careening off the tracks
Posted by 3xKrazy, Thu Jul-23-20 09:51 AM
with the acosta/mimi story. it felt like the original writers left the room for that one.
739108, *went careening
Posted by 3xKrazy, Thu Jul-23-20 10:48 AM
739109, i wasn't a big fan of the acosta/mimi stuff either
Posted by Mynoriti, Thu Jul-23-20 12:06 PM
I found myself checking out. the raid was pretty bananas tho

I enjoyed the season overall, and afterwords wen't back and watched S1 of mexico. S1 was better.
739112, midway through i was thinking S2 was better but my mind changed

739111, ya i googled it too and was shocked it was real
Posted by 3xKrazy, Thu Jul-23-20 07:41 PM
but other aspects of the show tanked after the acosta/mimi stuff as well...the FBI/DEA interaction was corny af too.
