737613, The Lighthouse (Robert Eggers, 2019) Posted by Bambino Grande, Fri Jan-03-20 03:59 PM
Thoughts?
I'm seeing this gettin trashed all over IMDB's user reviews, I for one thought it was very entertaining and dope. I get that people complain its «too artsy», but honestly, it didn't feel unnecessarily artsy at all. Dope shots, and GREAT performances by Robert Pattinson and W Defoe

I thought everything - except some of the cosmic horror stuff - was absolutely flawless.

Dafoe and Pattinson in beast mode. Eggers conjuring up genuinely fucked up imagery and genuinely incredible dialogue. Simply outstanding.
