737209, Silicon Valley Finale

Gonna miss this show...I love the way it ended. Such an under appreciated show
737213, What a terrible final season

Such a slog. I stuck all the way thru because the first three seasons were so great. But season 6 was painful. Clearly everyone involved just didn’t have their heart in it anymore.

The more time Passes the stronger I feel that 4 seasons should be the max for anything
737215, I think "terrible" may be overstating it a bit

There were parts of it that were awful. The arc where Jared fell out with Richard and the company was as tedious and stupid as it was pointless. Gavin Belson should have gotten more screwed at the end, beyond people think he was a joke. And the show never figured out a way to create much drama beyond "Pied Piper is on the brink of collapse!!!!" for six seasons.

However, I liked some stuff about the final season. Guilfoyle becoming a functional alcoholic who makes some friend seems about right. Big Head continuing to fail up was also poetic. Lori in prison and completely unable to relate to human beings was perfect. And seeing Dinesh embrace becoming a terrible person was entertaining at times.

I didn't love the final episode. I'm not sure sabotaging Pied Piper was the right way to go, but the season did have some tricks going for it in the lfinal stretch.
737224, Agree to disagree. Sticking with “terrible” and “slog”

737223, The last two seasons were both bad.

It stopped being realistic/relatable which made it less interesting imo.
737229, Cool finale but this show REALLY fizzled out

Bachman wasn't my favorite or anything but somehow after he left the show got much worse.

Maybe it's the contrast, or maybe it would've played out the same anyway, but for some reason after he left it became glaring just how one-note every character was.

Probably should've followed that McBride model of 2-3 seasons.

BigHead was my favorite in the finale
737230, This part I very much agree with:

I understand/agree with why they kicked him off, but didn't work nearly as well without him. They sorta tried to make Guilfoyle and Jin Yang the "new" Bachmans, but it never worked.

Certainly should have stopped after the previous season. This one didn't add much.

>BigHead was my favorite in the finale

Also agree.
737243, Jan Yang was def funnier when Bachman was around

overall i think it's more the time than Bachman though. he'd have probably gone stale along with everyone else. This show suffered from the same recycling problem as Entourage, except Entourage was never all that good to begin with.

737246, I was definitely hoping Jin-Yang was going to fill the Bachman void

i enjoyed it enough but my expectations where dramatically lowered after season 4.
