735448, Sherman's Showcase (Season 1)

So this show is one of the greatest things on tv. It's basically a comedic Soul Train and has featured some awesome musical guests.

Also, resident OKP and all-around fun guy Phonte created some of the music along with Zo. Phonte even played a character in the first episode signing one of the funniest songs I've heard in a minute.

The most recent had Vic Mensa, playing a Prince-like character that had a song called Vicki, Is Water Warm Enough. I could not stop laughing at it and it's been now in my Spotify along with the other songs from the first episode.

....THAT is a cut.

I think that's a mix of The Time's "Cool" and something else.
Either way, it goes.

Time Loop is also signature Zo!/Phonte.

I hope this gets them more TV/Film gigs.
735456, It was absolutely Cool

that whole episode was funny though. The original Fresh Prince of Bel-Air pilot with Morris Day was classic. Dude that played morris was pretty spot on vocally.

I hope this gets everyone involved more tv/film work cause that show is something special.
735467, I've seen the first three

It's very mild so far.

This is an "eehhh" right now, we'll see where it goes.
735468, Had no idea that was the dude from GLOW

Cherry Bang's husband

Also had no idea he was as prolific a writer until I IMDB'd him.

Only seen the clips/songs on youtube but that shit is hilarious and a genius concept

The music pastiches are on-point. They are not so out-there as to seem ridiculous, they catch the vibe accurately and have enough subtlety to be funny in a way that shows the familiarity/love for the thing they're parodying. Spinal Tap did that kinda thing well, and I like it here, too.

Morris Day in the Fresh Prince pilot got me.
