Surprising though that some of them never met, despite being in the film industry for over 30 years.

Hearing the story about the development of Blade and the director's role in what would be the end result makes me think of how many other Black filmmakers steered stories for the better but just weren't offered credit. I know Danny Glover was the 'ghost' director of The Color Purple but I'm sure more filmmakers and actors guided stories for the better.
