Yes. Kudos to them for making these choices, but let's not get carried away.

Huh? An anxiety case? That's the big minority appeal here?

No. First, they hit a home run with Tom Holland. That kid is the best version of Peter Parker we've ever seen in a movie. Hands down.

And he's an excellent character to build on going forward. Zero qualms about that.

But you cannot include him as an example of progressive choices. You cannot, particularly when Miles was right there for the taking, and they rolled with the classic. A classic, which, by the way, fucking nailed it.

But that doesn't make it a progressive choice, and "anxiety case" is an awfully forced attempt to cram him into the conversation with T'Challa and Danvers.
