Not sure how many people know about the Rizzuto family but they if you remember the scene in Donnie Brasco with the three capos murder he was one of three gunmen from Montreal hired by the Bonanno Family. He later went on to run the family in Montreal after his father and grew the crime family so big and powerful they branched off from the New York families and became known as the Sixth Family. They had the Irish, the Haitians and the Hells Angels behind him as well.

"Where American Mafia bosses controlled criminal activity in portions of a city or a New York borough or the criminal activity in an industrial or commercial sector—such as construction or New York's garment district—the Sixth Family was an enterprise with a true global reach. The Sixth Family had outpaced any crew in the Bonanno Family and, indeed, man-for-man, dollar-for-dollar, had eclipsed the family as a whole"

This seems to have had a big budget but I wish this mini-series was done by other people because it deserves to be told A LOT better. It's not a bad mini-series but its not great either. Some of the actors/characters are a based on a bunch of people grouped into one so I would love to see this story be a little more accurate. Hopefully down the line this gets turned into a movie and done properly but for now this is a good watch as is. It's in 6 parts on CityTV (Canada) but i'm sure if you guys know how to stream off the Canadian site I provided. If you guys love watching things about that mafia world and arent familiar with the Rizzuto's I would suggest watching this series or picking up one of the books written about them, theres a few good ones. I just picked up the one this tv show is based on but theres another good one called The Sixth Family that I need to pick up soon.
