1. You think Luke Cage will make a cameo in the Black Panther movie?

2. I was choppin it up with a Nigerian homegirl who is a comic book, comic book movie lover. When talking about the Civil War movie she thought that that whole Nigeria scene was some ultra bullshit (didn't look like Nigeria, niggas wasn't speaking any language they speak in Nigeria, etc). She also thought the whole Wakanda make believe country was nonsense.

3.I read somewhere where the Black Panther had an alias of Mr. Okonkwo from The Congo...that is off. That is an Igbo name right? That was wack to me.

4. For those who have read some of the older Black Panther comics (70's and 80's) what was your take on them?

5. How is the new series written by Coates to you?

6. I remember a while back they had a casting call in Atlanta and were looking for martial artists and stuff. I wonder if they did a casting call in some African countries like Senegal, that is known for wrestling, Nigeria which as plenty of actors & other places.

Nope. Marvel TV is being ran by Ike Perlmutter, Jeph Loeb and the Marvel Creative committee. Kevin Feige told Disney that something needed to be done about Ike and the committee or else he was out. Hence why now Kevin has complete control over Marvel Studios and Marvel TV has been suffering since.

I can't speak on the Lagos sequence that opened the film, but I dunno how you can be a comics lover and think Wakanda is nonsense considering that it's one of the most grounded things in the Marvel Universe.

Yes it's an alias that T'Challa uses for different reasons. Google that shit.

Boring as fuck. I'm gonna finish the run cause I'm currently on issue 10 (out of 13) but holy shit is this not made for comics. Should've been a novel TBH.

By that's off I meant that they got names mixed up. Okonkwo is an Igbo name and Ibgos are in present day Nigeria. Not the Congo. Someone should have caught that.
