It's the best scene they've done as far as the 'super smart cop goes home to an empty apartment because they are consumed with their work' trope...at least here there isn't a sad masturbation scene. The problem is that while this scene worked we've already seen lesser versions of it and they've already given somewhat of an explanation of why she's like this (when she told that story about how she was about to get married). But you right on those glasses tho, LOL. At least if they had her start to read or something.
