I hate that this is the last season as this show is kinda genius. I just finished the 'Pony' episode..l.m.f.a.o. It's a nice contrast to The Knick.

are the lead characters purposely unlikeable?

I've actually worked with a couple people like Jenna and Dawn in a similar environment, so it's a bit more comical to me.

I think Dee-Dee genuinely cares for her patients more than the other staffers. I flip-flop on Jenna because I think she cares, but she cares more about her 'stature' more than anything else. Dawn just needs attention and a therapist. Having said that, if you work in an environment where all you see is people slowly dying, it would probably have an effect on one's nuttiness.

The group that came over from Europe were from the original show. I thought it was cool to incorporate them into the American version.
