It's a half cult; they don't kill for sport, personal gain etc.

While the dudes death was well deserved, it DEF. was for personal gain which is why they punished her. Probably in their eyes was was the same as her murking someone for their gold.

It's going to be interesting what happens to her from now on...is she going to stay there and really go all in the cult to become a mega-assassin...or is she going to leave and find her own way.
