You've got a legitimate point that she didn't shy away from the actual situation. But her reluctant acceptance of it turns into offscreen pain and screaming, so the feeling for the viewer (or just me) that she was doing what has to be done kind of just stops there. In Dany's scene (correct if wrong), we see how she manages. Of course, Drogo wasn't quite evil.
