Recently cut the cable cord, so I'm hoping Comedy Central hooks Hulu up with the recent episodes eventually.

I think all recent episodes are "in front of the wall" - so it doesnt require a cable log in.

It's available on the website as well, so I'm not limited to having to using the app on my cell phone. Remarkable to have the show available without needing cable access.

the show didn't miss a beat. all sorts of plaudits have been heaped on broad city for the last year that i was worried it might suffer from high expectations. but nope.

But it is crazy that this is one of the first NYC-set shows I can remember that makes it look like an actual city with a diverse population.

I think it's just a result of them having a relatively diverse writing staff (at least compared to a lot of other shows.)

episode 2 has some gold

Chris Gethard was incredible. If this episode had been nothing but Gethard at the police station (and Abbi dancing,) I still would've been happy.

Some stuff was funny: Abi's dance performance (best part), all the Zack Braff references, and the White Power suit. A lot of the rest didn't do much for me.

I was rolling when Abbi said, "it'll make more room in my mouth". The frozen yogurt scenes, Abbi & her vicodin trip, Ilana & her model poses (uncensored in the DVD?), followed by her old person pelvis, damn that episode was hilarious.

Just on the off chance there's a girl tripping her ass off and throwing honey jars at people.

Shout out to Bingo Bronson.

This show & many other comedies like it suffer from the same thing:
Lack of the straight man & normalcy

Broady City is a cast full of Kramers with no Jerrys.
Everyone is random & off-beat which would be cool if the writing was strong
The humor seems to hinge on eccentric characters, sight gags & silly dialogue

Someone needs to tell these writers & performers to stop tryna bite Bill Murray & Will Ferrell

susie essman obviously kills it, but ilana's entire family is perfect, down to the final scene with her parents. loved their shouting diatribes at the cops and the guy walking on the street, their bring-your-own nail polish, and the sewer purses.

and i don't know who can say they saw that storyline with abbi coming. you knew it wouldn't last between them, but goddamn.
