Will a guy in a Canucks jersey holding a coffee cup from Tim Horton's quoting Bob & Doug wander into frame to remind us that this show is filmed in Vancouver?

Kriesberg (sp?) and Berlanti (the showrunners) BOTH SAID there's plenty of Sara story to tell (i.e. her training to become Black Canary, her getting off the island and eventually working for the LOA)...they hinted that she'd be in most of this season too...

so you still get her fahn, milky white ass...but only in flashbacks...

and i think the Cupid ep was pretty much about that issue. showed how much of a non-life Ollie has these days, while everyone around him is moving on and makin changes. it was actually nice that him and Roy got their heads out their ass and decided to be part of Diggle's life in a not-almost-dying way, could see from the smile on Digg's face he was appreciative. i dont wanna say it was 'heart-warming' but...it was.

That's a good question. I've been wondering a similar type question also. Last season was built around the mayoral race of Starling City. Both candidates were viciously murdered, who is the new mayor of starling city? what are the ramifications of that? a few months ago (show time) there were 300 of the most vicious criminals escaped from Iron Heights got super powers and went on a rampage, what happened to the city? Regular people in the glades should be freaked to go outside.

I know that it's a tv show and it isn't a big deal, but I'd at least like them to give me a line or two telling me about the new mayor of starling city.

...they're acting like "we handled all that off screen", but it should be addressed, and it's probably part of why Merlin is really in town and able to roll around so freely...

I could make a VERY long post on all of the loose ends they left unresolved on Arrow or the loose ends it took them most of a season to resolve.

Now that Oliver is Al-Sahim he better not go out like less than a man. He needs to kill Nyssa and at the very least clear Oliver Queen's name of any wrongdoing by wrecking Lance permanently. I'm hoping Flash retcons his past so Oliver doesn't wind up on this path. If Merlyn doesn't get Thea to kill Sara then Oliver isn't forced to fight Ra's and the season continues normally. Hope Thea tries to join the league later on. Now I'm looking forward to the Al-Sahim/Flash teamup. Al better bring the entire league with him. Motherfuckers turn STAR labs into a war zone.

Flash is so much better than Arrow. He's giving detectives the terrorist fist bump and cracking jokes with police. Meanwhile Ollie killing people and running from cops. This Al-Sahim angle better end better than Red Robin's turn at leading the league of assassins. Ollie is the ultimate assassin trained for five years so he better not disappoint this season or next.

That's all I was thinking watching this episode. Like, if he jumped back those months, that could give him more time to train to fight Thrawne/Wells. And while he's back there, maybe he could just stop that arrow right quick from taking out the dopest girl on the show. lol.

...i don't think this season is bad, but since the 2nd seasson, in order to make the show more interesting they've borrowed ALOT from other comic properties...

before this series, I honestly couldn't tell you who Green Arrows arch enemy was. I knew it was another archer, but couldn't place the name. Flash and Batman however have the most famous rouges galleries. so the longer the show goes on they'll have no choice but to borrow. either that or just make up villains out of thin air.

other than Count Vertigo....

- Writing is worse. Way more 'explaining with dialogue' than showing with action.

- Too comic booky. Arrow appealed because it felt like a real world action story comic book flourishes. Now, it's all 'homage to Dark Knight and hokey comic book storylines.' (The Bride of the Demon? WTF?)

- Too Whedonesque. Every time they show the 'gang' gathered in the ArrowLair, I flash back to the BuffyGang in the library with Giles.

- Too many characters with nothing to do. Since we MUST have a Black Canary, Laurel hangs around and gets taxed in every fight. Since we MUST have a Thea, she hangs around and gets in trouble all the time. ETC, ETC, ETC. But since we can't really kill Thea, we keep Malcolm Merlin around to bail her out now that Ollie is DarkArrow.

- The Ras storyline is underwhelming. Ras is the world's greatest assassin - Somebody should be permanently dead already. And Ollie should have killed somebody already. Additionally, there was no real emotional impact when Ollie changed to #DarkArrow - it happened to quick. The time they spent on the Ray Palmer/Atom storyline should have been shifted to the Ollie become dark storyline.

But they’re not going to release anything yet. That’s exactly what they told me. Greg Berlanti told me that. Andrew and Marc have told me that. I haven’t spoken to Geoff Johns about it. But that’s the word from people directly involved in Arrow- that they’re working on something.

“Here’s the truth of it: if I knew, I would tell you I know the answer to that, but I’m not at liberty to tell you that. I would answer like that. I probably wouldn’t tell you anyway, but I would at least tell you that I know. I honestly do not know.”

It may be difficult to truly grasp (and hopefully, Ramsey hasn’t landed himself in hot water for admitting) that the executive producers of both Arrow and The Flash have not only heard of the rumors, but are seemingly weighing their potential. For now, it sounds less like online sleuths uncovering the team’s real plan for Diggle, and more like a popular fan theory being given its due consideration.

It’s worth pointing out that when the announcement of Brandon Routh’s ‘Atom’ and Robbie Amell’s ‘Firestorm’ were made months ago, Arrow star (and DC Comics TV spokesperson) Stephen Amell expressed his own belief that The CW was “creating a Justice League on TV.” During that same discussion, Amell was also asked which DC hero would be his next choice to be adapted:

“Now, boy we’ve referenced Ferris Air a lot. It would be really cool to have Green Lantern. Hopefully, that happens. I have no inside information, unless I do.”

Normally, those comments would be tossed aside, given the special effects challenges and mythology changes needed to accommodate a hero like Green Lantern in Arrow‘s universe. But there’s no denying how much The Flash has changed the game, adding metahuman fantasy to the mix (and Supergirl set to follow its lead). Some might scoff at the idea altogether, believing that Arrow fans love the show’s grounded approach for a reason – but even the showrunners have softened their stance on superpowers following the wildly-successful Arrow/Flash crossover.

Given the established division between DC’s movie and TV universes, these ‘discussions’ may or may not have an impact on Tyrese Gibson’s current attempts to play Stewart in Justice League. Though it’s all just talk at this point (as far as we and Ramsey know), the actor is ready to tackle the part, should the writers and network give him the nod:

“I love John Stewart…To answer your question: if Diggle become John Stewart, I would be honored to be playing that character. Honored. The same way that I am honored that John Diggle is now a part of the DC canon. That’s just an incredible honor to me. I would love it because I think that he’s an awesome character. I would love to sink my teeth into it. I don’t know how it would fit into the Arrow Universe, because the Arrow Universe is so rooted in kind of grounded reality… however real people with a bow and arrow can be. I don’t know how a thought-based weapon fits into that world. I don’t know how that fits into Arrow, but yes, to answer that question I would love to play the character.”

or this stupid forced Olicity love story. fuck outta here a player like Ollie getting tied down by her whiney constant-cry-voice-having judgmental ass. her 'performance' this season has been so.fucking.painful to watch. the writers have done a pathetic job with her, she's become this forced 'heart of the group' bullshit person, which apparently means she should only talk like she's on the verge of tears, and she should only always be telling Oliver off, a guy who's been through more insane shit, killed more people and done more crazy things than Felicity could ever imagine, and yet Ollie's got it bad for the cute tech girl? i mean fine, her value in the team is immeasurable, but fall the fuck back already lady n let Ollie do his thing.

the shit thing is they've written em this deep that it's not gonna let up. as much as i hate to blame the actress and the character she plays (she really has mostly sucked this season), it really is the material letting her down. cos whenever she pops up on Flash, she's back to being sarcastic n funny and the actual character, not this insufferably annoying external group conscious that feels the need to be contrary just for the fuck of it.

i've actually enjoyed the overall story this season, if they'd actually focused on the story itself for at least 95% of the time, the story would've been so much better for it. again, this love story bullshit has been poorly executed and completely unnecessary and is always taking the momentum away from the INTERESTING shit, like Tatsu & Maseo's backstory (holy shit, anyone else get some strong feels when she 'released' her former lover? tragic end for a tragic story).

prob the weakest season sofar, but i still thoroughly enjoyed it. i just feel anything involving Felicity kinda brought everything to a screeching halt, and progressively got worse. i REALLY hope they refocus this show, and Ollie, on the mission and NOT on whingey mcgee.

I'm with you though. They really screwed the pooch giving in to this Ollicity shit. Some other nitpicks this season, much as I love Routh, they should've given him his own show out the gate. Him being DC Iron Man just doesn't fit here. And that flashback was cool early on. But they took way too long drawing that shit out. As a matter of fact, I'm kinda done with the flashback portion of the show. I can't take that stupid wig anymore. And the Nyssa/Laurel buddy comedy over milkshakes was unforgivable.

Like you said, I don't hate it, but it's definitely a weak season. which is crazy as they are doing one of the greatest DC villains ever.

...pulled off a CONSTANTINE crossover (with JC helping Ollie understand the Lazerus Pits). I am pissed the show got cancelled and this shit fell through as that would've been awesome.
