I get trying to see a silver lining but it seems to be incongruous with what we know and what was said.
Also, the real issue IMO is that losing two writer/directors over creative differences means that we don't even have a script yet. At this point, WB/DC should consider just hiring a screenwriter to get the script they like, and then find a director. At least get the foundation of the film solid rather than having everything be a rush to a release date. They can't delay it THAT long.
