I'm a little confused because I thought they have had input on DC films up to this point. Weren't they the ones who were putting the long term DC plan together along with Snyder?

I guess I'm not seeing how giving people already involved new titles represents a huge shift in what DC has been doing. Besides maybe being another sign that Snyder isn't long for this universe.
