MONEY? Maybe he wants to do a superhero movie but Marvel is considering him so DC is?

Who knows really?

Cumberbatch was confirmed over a month and a half ago. And Hardy was being "considered" but I suspect talks didn't go that much further than just early talks. I got the impression Cumberbatch may have been the number one choice for Dr. Strange..

how do you know Hardy was even in the running for other Marvel characters?

He wasn't. Dr. Strange was the only one he was up for. I doubt Marvel looks at him seriously since he's already done a DC Comics character.

of course they've been promised huge pay days with Smith most definitely getting the largest one ($20 million + backend). I mean, their characters aren't even guaranteed spinoffs or appearances in other DC Universe movies...so it has to be the huge paydays....
