assignment was to choose a sci-fi or fantasy book.

Librarian brought an adaptation of a Percy Jackson book, didn't sound like she loved it but that's not surprising. I thought it was an odd choice.

Two girls brought 'Rapunzel's Revenge.' Will have to note that for my daughter when she's a bit older.

One kid brought a Big Nate book. Way off-topic.

Another brought Bone Tall Tales, but he talked more about somehting else I can't remember. His mom brought a collection of Hindu tales I believe by this guy: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/02/25/AR2011022506814.html - pretty cool.

Another mother (also Indian) wanted to discuss the new Morrison piece 'The Key'. I haven't read it yet but here yez go http://www.bbc.com/news/magazine-26730067

My boy brought a Mouse Guard trade, girl brought a Korgi book, and I took Supergirl: Cosmic Adventures in the 8th Grade (and wound up loaning it out to another family).

We're going to try to all read the same book for next month, which will be interesting.
