On March 28, 2013, FX announced the show would have a tenth season. Glenn Howerton stated that the possibility of future seasons depends on whether FX decides that the tenth season will be the last. President of FX Network John Landgraf says that possibility of Season 11 may come down to money: "It's become quite an expensive show to produce". On the other hand, creatively, Landgraf's happy: "What really surprises me is that I actually have seen in the last month some of the best episodes they've ever made, and I'm really shocked by how vital the show is creatively and how inspired they are at the moment," he said.
