No shots intended, but to me Royal Tenenbaums has always tried way too hard to be a "dark" and "ironic" fable about a family
Every time I try to give it another shot, I come away with that same conclusion
On the other hand, I really think Max Fischer is possibly the greatest teen character I've ever seen in a movie
