668840, The only reason this movie won't get a gang of Oscar nominations

is because Warners is focusing all of their FYC attention on Gravity, which is too bad for this film

That said, I think he'll definitely get an Original Screenplay nod, and maybe one for Best Director (but then again, thinking off break, he's going to have to compete with Cuaron, Russell, Marty, Steve McQueen, Alexander Payne, Paul Greengrass, and the Coens)

And Arcade Fire might get a nomination for Score, and there might be some consideration given to some of the visual/tech categories

But if the question is if the performances and the movie overall are award-worthy? Absolutely, Scarlett especially. You guys have to understand, Scarlett's not only acting off-camera, but she also came in and REPLACED another actress who had already done the work. Granted, Spike went back and reshot crucial scenes with Scarlett in a booth in the back of the room, but this performance is a lot more than just her simply feeding Joaquin lines and audibly reacting to him.
