ALL of the sex scenes in this film are HILARIOUS. granted, two of them are awkward as hell. still, the complexity shown was intelligent, entertaining, and spot-on.

again, i agree. jojo gave an incredible performance, but the character wasn't showcased enough to give her the nod over the field. phoenix pretty much nails EVERY character he approaches. still, i'd be surprised if this film snagged any academy awards.

what's crazy is that the awkward moments experienced in that 3-way were EVERYTHING most people never expect to encounter. suddenly, a dream deferred.

the convo truly started the moment sam introduced other people (esp the men). she needed more than theo was willing to provide and eventually outgrew the relationship. samantha tried more than once to explain that she was growing, but theo simply couldn't (or wouldn't) make room for this.

evolution happens, with or without you. the moment any relationship is limited, its the beginning of the end. caged birds die of misery.
