The comic isn't illogical in the context of the characters created. And they were even likable even if you hate their guts because they had a clear, reasonable motive when you consider their personal histories. The TV show is nothing but. They manufacture drama where it isn't needed, stretch out boring plotlines with pointless dialogue about pointless actions that they do and they seem to mess up every storyline that isn't plucked and massaged from the books.

They have ridiculous shit happening in them but they work in the context of the universe that is set up for you.

Example: The Wolverine 2 flick hinged on being able to pass DNA from one mutant to the other. Yeah it's a movie about a mutant with an indestructible skeleton and lizard woman. But we KNOW how DNA works. It can't be passed down. This is something that they threw in to create drama and a sense of danger on Wolvie's part.

That's lazy writing and it insults the intelligence of the audience even if the audience doesn't know they're being insulted.

TWD does that because they know people will tune in because DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA at any illogical cost. Then occasionally there will be a point where somebody comes up missing and maybe a really tense part shows up where a zombie appears.

It's lackluster.

i'm out.
