643865, That was released in 2001 Posted by mrhood75, Mon Mar-11-13 10:35 PM

643872, I think Frank's winking with that one. Posted by Cold Truth, Mon Mar-11-13 11:58 PM
That, or he misread the title, which is understandable. I initially read it as "best parody of 80's movies" myself.
My first thought is that Frank is joking with that selection, because WHAS is essentially an 80's movie spoofing the style.
|
643873, I misread it as parody of the 1980s. My bad. Posted by Frank Longo, Tue Mar-12-13 12:21 AM
|
643878, Actually, I didn't misread it. The post title should say "from." Posted by Frank Longo, Tue Mar-12-13 02:21 AM
Not "of."
So I RESCIND ALL ADMISSIONS OF MISREADING.

643892, Fucking teachers, man. Posted by Cold Truth, Tue Mar-12-13 10:25 AM
>Not "of." > >So I RESCIND ALL ADMISSIONS OF MISREADING.

You're right though.

643963, Read an article way back that they were going to do a sequel Posted by DeadMike, Tue Mar-12-13 07:12 PM
Read an article way back that they were going to do a sequel to Spaceballs but it was going to be called Spaceballs 3: The Search for Spaceballs 2. I thought that was such a great title.

I woulda voted Top Secret! anyway. Love that movie.
|
643890, I watched that movie once... Posted by jigga, Tue Mar-12-13 10:21 AM
...once
I would've included it in the poll as well but Top Secret still takes the cake

643877, Top Secret by a hair. Rather, a Kilmer. Posted by bignick, Tue Mar-12-13 02:11 AM

643883, 'If Looks Could Kill' misses the cutoff by a few years, BUT... Posted by TheRealBillyOcean, Tue Mar-12-13 08:24 AM
I always wondered where Grieco would take that character to if given more time.
|
643888, I swear my brother and I are the only ones to ever see that film Posted by JiggysMyDayJob, Tue Mar-12-13 09:56 AM
It's a god awful movie but we loved how silly it was. I believe the sequel to that would be the James Bond Jr. animated series.
|
643884, easily Top Secret. hon. mention: Loaded Weapon 1 Posted by araQual, Tue Mar-12-13 09:02 AM
it was from 93 but totally fits the 80s mould.

644083, Just wanted to add I love all these Posted by go mack, Wed Mar-13-13 08:16 PM
Weird Al not getting love, but UHF kicks ass, still hard to top Top Secret or Spaceballs tho so can see that. The Airplane movies are great, and I like all the Naked Gun movies even 33 1/3 had its moments.
Scary Movies first two were good, the others started getting cornier and lots of really bad ones in recent years. Loaded Weapon 1 and Hot Shots were pretty good, when they started doing Date Movie, Not Another Teen Movie, etc a lot of those weren't even dumb enuff to be funny.
|
644123, I loved the first Scary Movie but quit after the 2nd Posted by jigga, Thu Mar-14-13 10:06 AM
I liked Not Another Teen Movie too
