I watched "Spring Breakers" last night, and I don't get all the hoopla.
Sure, it was interesting to see Vanessa as a bad bitch, but Selena didn't really stretch herself. Franco was awesome, tho.
As for the "pop poetry, like an explosion of skittles" color visuals.... didn't Hype Williams already do that with "Belly"?
Only difference is Harmony turned a gangsta flick into an artsy indie.
Not my favorite of his. I loved "GUMMO" and "Trash Humpers". So, ofcourse, I'm in the minority with that.

Chopped'n'screwed movie????? I'm very curious. For some reason, if it actually DOES work, I think we'll see more filmmakers imitating that idea.
Ofcourse, there have been music videos that already did this. But, we know that that mainstream never really pays much attention until its done by a White person. Just sayin.
