His genius is that he wrestles out some of the realest performances out of the white trash dregs of society ever put to celluloid.

Where he fails is that there is never a good movie to go along with it...the movie's are just there. It's like a shitty art school film project.

Now, don't let me let you think this is an easy trick to pull off...it feels like every art/film school student has a really horrible short about those kinds of people (or the equivalent) and they just come off boring as fuck...he generally makes those creepy fucks worth the one and a half hours wasted.
