635267, The perfect movie to do chores to Posted by navajo joe, Fri Dec-21-12 07:41 PM
but a predictable, tedious experience in the theater
the thrill-less thriller, the suspense-less suspense film
this is probably what Alex Cross aspired to
2 hours and some odd minutes of Tom Cruise hitting his marks and using his words.
Werner Herzog is criminally underused and really the only sign of life during the movie unfortunately they strand him by having him say too little and do even less.
I spent the second act ogling Rosamund Pike's cleavage waiting for her and Tom Cruise to confirm the plot that they made obvious in act 1. The best part of the movie was hearing Jack Reacher talked about like Bill Brasky.
Christopher McQuarrie is 0-2 w/ me. Only adding to my theory that screenwriters make the worst directors.
I would have liked this movie a lot more if I hadn't been really watching it. Wait for it on TNT or Trans-Atlantic flight when you have something else to do or nowhere else to go.
