476365, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs is FANTASTIC.

It's one of the funniest movies of the year easily. It has more visual gags than you can imagine, moves at a quick pace, has surprisingly great effects, and the 3D is vivid and terrific. The action scenes kick ass, the jokes almost all hit on the mark, and you have MISTER T AS A POLICE OFFICER.

I can't emphasize enough that this movie is worth your money-- even a 3D ticket money. I'm praying this one gets an Academy Award nod for Best Animated Film. It's definitely worth it. Not quite as good as Up... but better than the rest of the pack.
476371, I'm seeing it Sunday

The previews were okay, but the cip from when Bill Hader was on Conan sold me.
476381, my class was hype about it today. it sounds like perfect 3D to me.

476423, This was suprisingly awesome!!!

What sold me was the style of comedy--it wasn't too adult-oriented nor too reliant on physical humor, it was just plain, silly comedy.

The voice actors were all great as well.
476496, I definitely want to see this

wasnt to excited until Bill Hader was on Conan or Fallon and the clip they showed was HILARIOUS!
476520, I agree with Ebert's statement that the clarity of the 3D in this film...

...is the best to date.
476548, I'm taking my 8 year old this week
Posted by spenzalii, Sun Sep-20-09 09:01 PM
He's amped. I should enjoy it as well
476647, Saw it last night with my 3 year old son

Great, Hillarious movie. Was really impressed and best animated since Up, maybe even like this more altho animation may not be quite as crisp, 3-D worked better for this one.
476659, Going to see it on Friday.

the similarities between the book and movie:
there's a place that at some point is called chewandswallow, and in that place it rains food
and the picture from the book where a giant pancake covers the school

thats about it, really

but i love the book and the movie

Astro Boy looks decent, think my son will really like it since he's really into robots

Planet 51 looks real funny, looking forward to it

Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3-D, doubt I'll go but love them the 20 times I've seen each

Where the Wild Things Are - will probably pass on it

Fantastic Mr Fox - didn't look good at all, despite big names of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, don't know about this one
476751, FLINT LOCKWOOOOD!!! (c) Mr.T
Posted by Castro, Mon Sep-21-09 02:45 PM
476752, Saw it with my 9 year old- we had a blast..(spoilers!!!!)
Posted by Castro, Mon Sep-21-09 02:49 PM
The snowball fight scene is the killer scene as far as laughs go....as is most of the scenes with Mr.T.

That film was awesome, saw it yesterday. Loved the snowball fight and I loved the interaction between Heder's character and Anna Farris' weatherperson character. Mr. T was hilarious and I enjoyed Bobbe J. Thomson as his son.
476880, I really enjoyed this movie...

I plan on going to see it again with my god daughter in 3D since I didn't see it that way the first time.

Mr. T and his tingling chest hair and butt cheeks had me dying!

I can't wait to see it again!
480486, DAMNIT...I was hoping this wasn't posted!!

This movie (I saw it last weekend) had me....no, seriously, in TEARS.

Even my kids were surprised (maybe even embarrassed) on how much I was laughing.

The parents were hollaring.

Even the love interest and touchy parts were classic and kept my attention.

Officer Earl, Steve the monkey....

I'm not playing when I saw this might be the funniest annimated movie in a LOOOOOOoooooooong time.

480488, Is it really that good?
Posted by Nukkapedia, Fri Oct-09-09 07:39 PM
I have absolutely no interest in seeing it based off of the trailer.
480493, Yes, it's absolutely batshit funny
Posted by MANHOODLUM, Fri Oct-09-09 08:55 PM
It seems like it was made more for our appreciation, minus any innuendos. No, it really IS that funny.
480501, Yes. And the 3D was great.
Posted by Frank Longo, Fri Oct-09-09 09:51 PM
480595, Very. One of my favorite movies this year.

480730, Is it kid friendly?
Posted by Midtown Records, Mon Oct-12-09 12:06 AM
I was planning on taking my niece sometime this week.

But she's ONLY going to be 4 years old.

She speaks full sentences and is really bright for her age.

There will be absolutely no problem with her sitting through the whole thing.

My main concern is that it's kid friendly enough.

480771, Yeah
Posted by go mack, Mon Oct-12-09 09:59 AM
My 3 year old son loved it and couldn't stop talking about it the next two days. Definately a movie both kids and adults can enjoy together.
481790, GREAT movie

494666, WOW.
Posted by Nukkapedia, Fri Jan-01-10 10:55 AM
I saw it this morning (at 2 AM!) when my friend insisted we put it on at her New Year's party.

I t was absolutely hysterical from start to finish. I was in SHOCK at how good it really was.

Sony's entire promo team should be fired for making the movie look so lame in the trailer/advertisements.
494671, Told you so. :)
