Looks pretty good to me, well atleast as far as remakes go.

and the cast is pretty strong as well - Benicio, sir anthony, emily blunt and Hugo Weaving

I might really be checking for this one
470666, I hope its good but this was supposed to come out years ago.

Despite those concerns this is still a must see for me
470690, I'd really wish that my boy Mark Romanek would've made it

but judging from the trailer Joe Johnston has really surprised me.
470694, I wonder if they ended up increasing the budget even after he left

As long as this is taking to come out that wouldn't surprise me.
470959, it did

It went up by more than what he was asking for.
You know that's gotta piss him off.
Part of me wants the movie to bomb just so Romanek can have some revenge.
But either way, I hope they make it up to him.

I have feeling more wolfman films are coming out, it's only a matter of time when they remake The Monster Squad, I'm just hoping. Also, I'm looking forward.

I aint gonna lie, I would love to see a moster squad remake. one of my fave childhood movies.

For some reason I think Sam Raimi would do it justice
470773, First person I got in mind actually.

After seeing Drag Me To Hell, I can say he'll do a good job.

470726, Is it me or did Benicio seem really off in the trailer?

I get it if his character is supposed to be kind of stiff but every line felt forced.

I was underwhelmed by the trailer. Seems like a rental. You already know the story (and if you didn't, the whole thing is pretty much in the trailer). I'd rather see a modern day werewolf story.
470764, It's that Blunt. She tends to have that effect on all the good ones.

He looks like he's tired as hell from workin on the film for so long.
470934, Trailer showed WAY too much of the transformation...

... I mean, I figure that'd be the main reason people would want to see this, for the heightened effects. Everyone already knows the basics of the Wolf Man story, so why not tease the look of the film a bit more?

LOL, just bullshitting.

But damn, Hollywood is going to just keep throwing all of these big-scale remakes at us, aren't they? I mean, the effects look nice, but like someone said, the story's been done to death already. Gussying it up with CGI won't help the staleness.
470960, cousin, do not get me started

those of us here who work in/at/around/for H'wood have been complaining about that shit for years.

470932, wasnt this suppose to come out in spring?

i remember seeing the trailers at universal studios tour back in october
470933, Yeah, it got pushed back.
Posted by SoulHonky, Fri Aug-21-09 05:02 PM
It seems like moving release dates is happening a lot more now. I can't remember so many big movies getting pushed back (Wolfman, Shutter Island, Harry Potter, The Road, etc.)
470961, recession is getting everybody.
