young, if this shit ain't the best comedy on the net right now. do y'all know how scared star wars fans are right now? this shit is A-1 comedy right now. they nervous because dat trek 'chise got new life and they can prolly get like 3 more blockbuster movies outta this current cast. basically, they scared it can surpass star wars in cultural significance, COOLNESS and, most importantly, them 'bers. i cannot stop reading these boards.

But as a die hard Star Wars fan...I was pissed at Lucas while watching Star Trek. I know Trek was not a true prequel, but it better than Episode 1.

Never had a reason to check for anything Trek related, but this movie has made me at least willing to consider it. Couldn't care less about anything Star Wars related after the prequels though.

Cause JJ showed how to bring back a franchise. Lucas fucked up with the Star Wars prequels and Indy 4. But they did numbers so he probably doesn't give a damn.

The prequels alone probably make more than all 11 Trek films combined. I mean, Nemesis barely made more than that bullshit Clone Wars animated flick that came out.

If anything, Star Trek/Wars shows the inherent flaw in the 'bers talk because Star Trek was better than the Star Wars prequels but it probably won't be seeing it box office wise.

To me they always treated the films like a "bigger budget" tv episode as opposed to a feature film. I like what they did here. You got a great cast of young and talented actors who were popular on their own already. The specialist effects was top notch.

I hope I HOPE I HOPE and pray that if they do a next film
they make the bad guy a Klingon and they get someone epic to play him. Kahn was like the best villian in the whole series and that movie was over 20 years ago
