You've come up w/an alternate thought, let's discuss.
I can clearly see the dysfunctional fam thing in Lost, it's PAINTED on in Fringe - MI:3 had it, but I think that was established before JJ,
and I guess it was there in Cloverfield too.
Capt. Pike was OBVIOUSLY the father figure, I guess that makes Kirk and Spock brothers, altough Spock was AT LEAST at the level of Pike in the Hierachy from what I could tell (at least before he stepped on the ship)
McCoy's the cool uncle?
