449010, Can anyone name me a *good* Hugh Grant flick....
Posted by vee-lover, Thu Apr-30-09 01:59 PM
I swear everytime I see a movie with him in it I immediately turn the station.

I have tried to endure a few of his movies but something about his acting is missing....there is no connection to any of his characters...his acting is *always* the same in each film I see him in.

He has become persona non grata for me when it comes to his movies.

He's definitely the least favorite actor I like to see.
449011, Love Actually.

And cats will try to front on it, but Four Weddings and a Funeral was also good...

He is stupid
But he KNOWS that he is stupid
And that almost makes him smart
Let's listen
449027, Exactly, "Four Weddings" is really good, in fact.

449066, Yes sir.
Posted by Frank Longo, Fri May-01-09 01:53 AM

Apparently even HE thinks it's his only good movie.
449037, I haven't seen this flick but I'm trippin on all the movies dudes is listing

as being "good Hugh Grant flicks." I've seen the ones most have mentioned and none, to me, qualify as being anything memorable....most of his flicks are good for watching once, if that.

449044, the three named in this post, plus American Dreamz is about it
Posted by dunk, Thu Apr-30-09 10:44 PM
About A Boy, Notting Hill and Love Actually.

American Dreamz is grossly underrated.

I read the book before seeing the movie. I hated grant going in, and came out feeling he's the only actor on earth who could have played Will.
449067, Bridget Jones' Diary and Small Time Crooks= both quality films too.
Posted by Frank Longo, Fri May-01-09 01:54 AM
449141, Hugh Grant is kinda "blah" in Small Time Crooks
Posted by mrhood75, Fri May-01-09 11:04 AM
I mean, I barely remember him being there. Still a good movie though, but not because of him.
449104, I liked 2 weeks notice.
Posted by spades, Fri May-01-09 09:23 AM
Good chemistry between the leads
Grant doing his awkward/asshoole schtick.

Not ENTIRELY predictable, I'd watch it again on a Saturday.
449113, one of my favorites
