Amy Poehler's character is the worst. Yep, it's a Michael Scott ripoff in an obvious and unfunny way. HOWEVER, I won't blame her, since it's written to be a Michael Scott ripoff.

The only stuff I've enjoyed have been Rashida Jones, her husband, and the unhappy intern (which is a ripoff too).

that was an extremely empty 22 minutes.

the only things that got a laugh out of me were the pancakes bit and the chuck e cheese reference.

Her partner. I forgot his name already....

hopefully it gets better. I didn't really laugh once though.

It's just as bad as "Kath & Kim". They're fuckin' up the Thursday Night Lineup with all this unfunny.

Maybe because I've known some people like that... but the banter on there is hilarious to me. Kim's stupidity alone is the best. On the flip side, my boyfriend HATES that show. lol

i loved his attempt to pick her up at the town hall meeting and when he did the bee line to 'shida the second he gets to her house.

Was one of the funniest cats on Scrubs during his brief stint, and is easily the funniest cat in Parks and Rec.

She looks cute and all, but if all they're going to have her do is sit around and pout like a disinterested twenty-something, then they're wasting time, hers and ours...

Overall, I think a big problem with the show is that the setting just isn't relatable... The Office mainly works because the setting is obviously relatable to anyone who has done time in a cubicle, as well as dealt with the motley crew of characters that comes with the gig... this show is tough to get into because (aside from the fact that the jokes are chuckle-worthy at best), the setting is hard to relate to...

On a base level, we understand Poehler's character's frustrations with trying to get stuff done, and thus we emphasize with her situation, but when her struggle is taken in context with this larger political setting, it's just not working... we just can't relate to having to deal with the literal political bureaucracy that's seen here... and the documentary format isn't helping matters... this should have just been a single-camera show, maybe with some voice-over ala Scrubs...

And I've already detailed my irritation with the one-note "I think I'm cool by using 'urban' slang" joke that Aziz has been using in everything I've seen him in lately... I don't know if that's his schtick or not (have not seen any stand up from him), but it's gotten pretty old, pretty fast... Though I will say that he wrote a side piece for a feature on Amy Poehler in Entertainment Weekly that was the funniest thing I've seen from him so far and it didn't rely on the shtick that he's been using in everything from this show to Observe and Report (and that other upcoming movie that I'm nervous to mention because of the confidentiality agreement that I had to sign before seeing it)...

All that said, only 2 episodes have aired and the hope is that it finds its groove soon...

I'm not sure what else she brings to the table. For all of her hype, I'm not really seeing it with her.

The show would be funnier if they played Amy's character straight and trying to deal with crazy requests and crazier co-workers. Make her the Jim instead of the Michael (or better yet, the Dave and more like Newsradio)

She's been so underwritten that it's hard to see what makes her funny

but as it was pointed out to me, I won't jump ship because it's sandwiched between shows that I DO watch, so what would be the point of turning the channel just to turn back, lol...

I will probably watch it for the same lazy motivations, but my heart won't be in it.

Caught it for the first time last night. Love Aziz. Amy Poehler I find funny in general although I don't feel like she's given the best material to work with here.

I laughed at some of the Scrabble stuff. Amy did her 'crazy eyes' a couple times which always gets me. And goddamn, that mural. But overall? Eh.

Last night's episode was inspired. Also, Amy Poehler has found a way to make the character her own and she is no longer just a Michael Scott rip-off.

I didn't like it at all in the Spring, but I find myself enjoying it every week now.

Anyone who jumped ship after season 1 should give it another look.

i actually started with this season because i heard season 1 was so bad. and i am thoroughly impressed, Ron Swanson is the man!

there were some good lines this week though

this season of 30 Rock has been subpar so far.

This week was possibly one of their best. The chemistry between swanson and mullaly's character had me going! The reason I think this show is so strong is not necessarily how funny it is, but the fact that it has such a strong foundation of characters.

...got to shine in that episode.

The difference between these seasons is like night and day.

They've actually given her a brain and a personality, as opposed to keeping her as Michael Scott Jr. like she was in season 1... her best moment so far, her defining episode, was the beauty pageant one

And it's nice that Aziz is less and less annoying as the weeks go on, though I still don't find him to be this great hip laff riot

Also, the bits with Ann ('SHIDA!), Mark, and Andy are quite repetitive

And I still don't know why Audrey Plaza's on the show

But you can tell the writers have put in the time to work on the characters, and as a result the show is much better...

and i think the office hasnt been too good this year. my main problem with it is amy poehlers character is not that funny and she gets so much screen time. i wasnt a fan of community the first season but its gotten better. while some of the supporting cast on parks and rec are good as a show it should get cancelled.
