But again, if she tells him why she's having a party, then the movie's over...
I forgot how that invitation scene went down, but I would have had ol' girl invite him to the party to meet her fiance, and have her say "You should come to my party... and meet Mark, my fiance"... but I would have done it in such a way that the audio would have went out after "my party," since it would have been within character for this simp-ass dude to drown out everything else she said anyway...
