I'm not saying it'll improve the movie, but there's a chance I could get more out of the book after seeing the movie.

Wouldn't the "oh shit" moments in the movie also be lost for those that have already read the comic? I mean if you read the book first then see the movie you know all the spoilers. And vice versa right?
