hmmmmmm I saw the original black and white joint, and they didn't veer that far off from the original, except they may have dump some trivial plot sequences from the original, especially the last half of the movie. I'm trippin' of the "new technology" they introduced to explain some of the power of the "visitors". Reeves was PERFECT for this robotic ass roll, and Connelly seemed all right in a more "cerebral" character than the norm. Jaden Smith got to "act his age" kinda in the flick, nothing spectacular, but they didn't make him too "unbelievable".
